New Fee System At Carlsbad Caverns
Carlsbad Caverns National Park adopts a new entrance based fee effective January 1 1973 replacing former guide and elevator fees The rate is 2.00 per car load for non commercial vehicles or 50 cents per person for commercial bus travelers Education groups children under 16 and foreign visitors may have fees waived The Golden Eagle and Golden Age Passports will be honored The 10 annual Golden Eagle Passport will admit the holder and passengers to federally administered recreation areas across the nation The Golden Age Passport is free for visitors aged 62 and older and proof of age is required The new schedule aims for equity especially for large families and frequent visitors
