Lordsburg BPW Christmas Party Ties Charity Tree

The Lordsburg Business and Professional Woman's Club held its annual Christmas party at Mrs. Connie Saucedo's home on December 14. Members enjoyed a pot luck supper and carols. Instead of gifts, a money tree will benefit the Lordsburg Retirement Ranch. New member Beatrice Fierro welcomed. Also listed are 15 members and the hostess. In probate court Hidalgo County, the executor William L. Merrill calls for claims against the decedent's estate within legal time.

Lordsburg Water Right Applications Filed for Groundwater

City of Lordsburg files three applications LV-37 to LV-269 in New Mexico to change diversion points and allocate 800 acre feet of shallow groundwater annually for municipal use. LV-37 wells will be discontinued while LV-269 and LV-269-S begin supplying the water. LV-269-S-2 and LV-269-S-3 seek additional supplemental withdrawals. Protest possible within ten days after last publication. First published December 22, 1972. last publication January 5, 1973.
