Neighbors rescue dog as Vermilion home burns
On Idleview Drive in Vermilion neighbors Matt Green and Tony Budka kicked in a burning front door to search for 84 year old Willie Ann Schultz. They found her dog Miles a 9 year old Shih Tzu and evacuated the dog to safety before firefighters arrived. Schultz later thanked the men for saving her pet and the community praised their bravery with a city proclamation on July 16.
