Box truck crashes into Elyria home on Third Street
A Freightliner box truck and a Chevrolet Equinox collided at West River Road and Third Street in Elyria. The truck crashed through 573 Third St wall. the homeowner Melissa Evans and grandchildren were inside but unharmed. The Equinox driver was taken to St. John Westshore Hospital with undisclosed injuries. a toddler in the SUV was unharmed. Drivers of both vehicles were hospitalized with minor injuries. cause under investigation. The intersection has a signal, and no charges announced. Evans notes prior crashes at the site.

Cleveland man may plead self defense in Amherst shooting
