Tragic dog attack kills 6 year old in Lorain
Lorain police say no prior animal complaints at the home where 6 year old Jaxson Dvorak was fatally bitten around 4 PM on July 3. The coroner identified the boy, a Palm Elementary kindergartner, as the victim. Police have not charged anyone and the investigation continues.

Borrowed pants carry drugs in Elyria incident
A Lorain man, Kimmy Harris, 63, told Elyria police the borrowed pants caused the drugs found outside West Recreation Center on Foster Avenue. Police described the 3:30 p.m. July 3 arrest after Harris discarded a crack pipe and a bag with less than 1 gram of cocaine, with his story changing and no clear origin for the drugs.
