Presbyterians Begin Short Term Courses and Activities

United Church Anniversary Services and Meetings

The United Church marks its eighth anniversary with 10:00 a.m. worship at The Valley of the Flowers United Church of Christ and Sunday activities including junior choir rehearsals at 11:00 a.m. and deaconess board and church council meetings. Baptismal slated to Calvary Baptist Church

Methodist Church Adopts New Service Times and Events

Beginning tomorrow First United Methodist Church will hold worship at 9 and 10 30 a.m. Church school for children through eighth grade starts at 9 a.m. Senior High and adults meet at 10 with younger children at 10 30. The United Methodist Men dinner is Sept 14 at 6 30 p.m. Reservations are due tomorrow. Finance committee meets Monday at 7 30 p.m. Council on Ministries meets Tuesday at 7 30 p.m. All church picnic is 1 p.m. Sunday Sept 20 on church grounds. Virgil Leach to preach at Lompoc Church of Christ

Virgil Leach who is the church minister will deliver two sermons this Sunday at Lompoc Church of Christ. The 8:45 and 11 am services feature Top of the Mountain from Matthew 17 1 8 and Almost Persuaded the 6 pm sermon. Communion will be served. Fellowship follows in the Fellowship Hall. Classes begin at 10 am. Deacons meet Monday at 4 pm. A devotional for youth is at Wes Coggins home. Prayer service Tuesday at 10 am. Area wide singing is in Morro Bay at 2 30 pm with a 1 30 pm potluck at the Veterans Memorial Building and singing back at the church.
