Santa Maria Valley TV service touted as improving
Santa Maria Cable TV officials told the Board of Supervisors that reception problems are diminishing as fall temperatures arrive. Wayne Houser said outages were weather related and steps including replacing old gear, extended hours, and cooperation with Teleprompter are reducing issues. The board asked a review of franchise compliance and noted most signatures came from city residents. Also, County Fire Administration HQ renamed in honor of Victor Mohr, who retires after 30 years. Tornado winds estimated up to 500 mph are noted as the strongest on Earth.
