Nuclear plant plans slip toward 1980 at Pt Conception
Southern California Edison officials pushed back the Pt Conception nuclear plant timetable from 1972 to possibly 1980 or later. The move follows questions about linking the project to a state federal prototype desalination plan on the California coast. A key water survey for county needs was presented to officials, with desalination and coastal projects tied to future water supply.
