Accident victim identified in Lompoc crash

Authorities identified the youth killed in a Lompoc highway crash on North H Street as Edward Panthohon of Ventura, while his age remains unknown. Panthohon was listed in serious but not critical condition from head injuries, after a collision that also killed a friend and injured another. Positive identification disrupted by earlier misidentification of Anthony Vidal.

Minuteman III Launch From Vandenberg AFB Reported On Course

A United States Air Force Minuteman III missile was launched at 11 25 p m yesterday from Vandenberg AFB by SAC crew of the 91st Strategic Missile Wing Minot North Dakota. The test marked the first in a series of Minuteman III operational launches by SAC at Vandenberg.
