Reagan signs three year anti smut laws strengthening obscenity penalties
Gov. Reagan signed a two bill package ending a three year legislative fight to curb adult material sales to youth. The laws include a separate standard for obscenity for under 18s and a pandering concept to use advertising methods as a legal test. The measures take effect 90 days after adjournment.
