Huntington Park Elks Parade Lineup Stunts and Auto Display

The 1:00 pm opening, judging of the Whiskerine Contest, a Pontiac Firebird drawing, and the 9:00 pm to 1:00 am carnival ride hours at Ryon Park wrap the day with additional demonstrations and dances throughout.

Flower Festival Set With Parade and Park Festivities

The 17th annual Lompoc Valley Flower Festival opens with a 1969 parade featuring 15 flower floats 13 bands and drum corps. Grand marshals include Ray Stalker Harley Craig and George Miller. Fans plan to line H Street Ocean Avenue to Ryan Park for two days of entertainment with Queen Kay Wishard and her court.

Lompoc Alpha Club Flower Show Opens With Theme Lompoc History

The 47th annual Alpha Club Flower Show titled Lompoc History in Flowers opens Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Veterans Memorial Building after the Flower Festival Parade. Admission 50 cents to students, $1 adults. under 12 free with adult. Entries accepted today 5–11 p.m. or tomorrow 7–8:30 a.m. with judges awarding sweepstakes, best of show, and place prizes across adult and junior divisions. Special exhibits from local shops and seed companies accompany sections on arrangements and specimen flowers grown by exhibitors.
