Cuyama Road Bids Sought For 3.7 Mile Expressway
The State Division of Highways invites bids on a 3.25 million dollar project to build 3.7 miles of two lane expressway on Route 166 in California. The route runs through the Cuyama River Canyon about 27 miles east of Santa Maria from Wild Cow Creek to Gifford Creek. A new northerly alignment will largely replace the current route with one bridge over the river and river realignments at three points to avoid extra bridges.
