Nader accuses USDA of lax meat and pesticide controls

Airman credited with saving girl and aiding rescuer at Surf

Airman Raymond Hakansson of Vandenberg Air Force Base is credited with saving 11 year old Tammie Crumley of Lompoc and assisting Hayward rescuer Frank Borecki in a surf near Surf. The girl was pulled to shore and treated at Lompoc Hospital. the incident occurred about 1 45 p m yesterday.

Boy Hit By Car In Lompoc Hospitalized In Good Condition

A 23 month old Lompoc boy Andre Sanchez of 536 N. L St Apt B is listed in good condition at Lompoc Hospital after injuring his head when he ran into a car on West College Avenue. Mildred Taylor 36 of 916 W College Ave was driving. Police say she swerved to avoid a small child and bumped the boy. The incident occurred just after 11 a.m. Sunday in the 400 Block of West College Avenue.

Assembly Leader Walter Karabian to Speak in Lompoc

A pet raccoon valued at fifty dollars was stolen from John P. King’s home at 721 AN. E St. The loss was reported Saturday after Friday night theft. Herbert Hover Lee aged 22 of 712 N. G St. Apt F faced court action on unlawful sex with a minor. Bail set at 1250 dollars. Burglars stole money a sleeping bag and a knife from Michael Archie Cowboy’s trailer at 825 E. Ocean Ave Space 36 valued at 305 dollars. Fire damaged Sam Meserole’s home at 412 E. Cherry Ave about 2 p.m. caused by clothing near a heater.

TV shop owners charged with fraud in Santa Barbara case

Fred A Sacks and Walter P Scott appeared for arraignment in Santa Barbara Municipal Court on felony conspiracy to defraud and petty theft charges.
