Minier plans Grand Jury review of Regan bribery case

General Motors recalls 3.7 million cars over steering shield

General Motors announced a recall of 3.7 million 1971 and 1972 full sized Chevrolets Buicks Oldsmobiles and Pontiacs to fit a shield preventing stones from lodging in the steering mechanism. GM cited 96 reports including 23 incidents with 12 injuries and noted safety groups had pressed for the action.
