Symphony of Fashions Spring show by La Purisima Council

La Purisima Council of Catholic Women hosts a February 15 spring style show in the parish hall titled Symphony of Fashions. Twenty six models will showcase current attire for all ages with participation from a dozen local shops hair stylists from two beauty shops and makeup consultants. Ticket chairmen are Pat Torres and Nancy Casanaves.

Hair Style Show at Parish Hall By Local Stylists

A hair styling program will be presented Tuesday night at the parish hall during La Women’s meeting. Demonstrations include a wet cut everyday style and an evening coiffure by Sue Jura Mary Hacker and Pat Anderson of La Tiara Beauty Salon. Parish women invited. Plans for the spring style show Symphony of Fashions set for Feb 15 also discussed with Mrs Eugene Frankhauser as general chairman.

Women of Moose plan youth leaders workshop and barbecue

The Women of Moose schedule a daylong youth leaders workshop at First United Methodist Church in Lompoc on Feb 3 with Jessie Ramming coordinating and reservations via 65900. Activities include sessions by Margaret Montgomery and others, book displays, and a 9:30 a.m. registration.

Local trailerites enjoy deer feeding at Lopez Lake outing

Lompoc Travel Trailer Club members spent a weekend at Lopez Lake and Recreational Area aided by ideal weather. Deer approached closely, feeding from hands as Fred and Doris Smith hosted a pancake breakfast and refreshments. Attendees included Homer and Lee Brady, Bob and Sally McCarthy, and others with several guests. The February trip is planned for South Beach State Park in Pismo.

Camp Fire Council installs new officers at annual dinner

Lompoc Camp Fire Girls named John Hannah as president with Mrs. Murray Lester and Vernon Herigstad as vice presidents. New board members include W. Blake Jamison Fred Cohig Samuel Hines and David Chesnut. Retiring members and long serving leaders were recognized amid entertainment and awards for service.
