Supervisors approve oil field subdivision despite denial bias
The Santa Maria board voted 3-2 to approve a 14 lot subdivision on an active oil field near Cambridge Way overriding planners. Two wells remain with three idle or abandoned on the 154 acre site as officials plan vapor recovery and on site testing amid environmental report concerns.
