Advocacy Center gives Solvang CAC aids for 200 monthly visitors
The Solvang Advocacy Center, part of Santa Barbara County Community Action Commission, helps up to 200 people monthly with Spanish bilingual staff Diane Romero and Pat Rivera guiding aid in legal, welfare, health, and employment matters. The center covers the Santa Ynez Valley and partners with Salvation Army and United Voluntary Services for food, clothing, and funds. Unemployment and underemployment drive daily client needs as staff coordinate with state employment offices to place workers.
