Episcopal church names new rector in Solvang
The Rev. Charles H. Stacy has taken the role as rector of St. Mark's in the Valley Episcopal Church Solvang. He and his wife Shirley and children Peter and Sarah move from Carmel where he served since 1973 as associate rector of All Saints. Stacy holds a master of divinity from CDSP a master’s in rehabilitation counseling from CSU San Francisco and a BA in economics from UC Davis.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day rites planned in three Santa Ynez Valley churches
Traditional Christmas services will be held across Old Mission Santa Ines St Mark s in the Valley Episcopal Bethania Lutheran and Danish English and Danish rites at Bethania include confessions at Santa Ines Christmas Eve masses at 8 9 30 and 11 a m and a midnight solemn mass with carols. St Mark s will host a creche at 5 p m with animals from Sunday School and a Festival of the Eucharist at 11 p m followed by a 11 a m Christmas Day communion. Bethania offers Danish and English services Christmas Eve and an 11 p m English communion plus a 10 a m Christmas Day song service and a 7 30 a m Danish service on Sunday featuring The Stable Mouse playlet dancing around the tree and refreshments.
