Woman's Club Bazaar Profits Exceed Six Hundred Dollars

The Community Woman's Club held its annual bazaar at Del Norte Mobile Estates with profits over $600. Proceeds support community service. Mrs Fred Smith chaired, aided by Mmes Hugh Moreland C K Chilson and Robert McCarthy. A winning doll and wardrobe were donated by Mrs Viola Willard and given to Mrs Melvin Munn.

Vanderbelles sing for Episcopal Church Women

The Vanderbelles performed holiday songs at St Marys during the Episcopal Church Women luncheon at Village Country Club near Vandenberg AFB. Officers for the coming year were elected: Gates president Petersen vice president Anderson secretary Morgan treasurer installed by Rev. Fitch. Guests included the Golden Agers.

Boys chorus to perform for Chamber Women luncheon

Dan Morse YMCA director will present his 12 member boys chorus aged 8 to 13 at the Chamber of Commerce Women's Division Christmas event. The group, recently organized, aims for a spring concert and is led by a former Centenary College Choir member who toured the Far East. The Women plan a noon Valley Club luncheon with canned food donations for the Health and Welfare Council and a $1 contribution per member for youth groups.

Christmas Events At Local Churches This Weekend

Jr High United Methodist Youth Fellowship hosts a 4 to 6 p.m. Christmas party this Saturday with sponsors and counselors. Sunday meetings are canceled for the event. A separate indoor tree event for single parents and pre teens occurs Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Lompoc Library.

Miss Dora Gonzales and Phil Avila reveal their engagement with a January 22 wedding planned at the Old Mission Santa Barbara. The bride elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julian Gonzales and a Lompoc High School graduate who modeled for LaBelle Agency and now manages Kimo's Polynesian Shop. Avila, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvaro Avila of Santa Barbara, is a 1966 Santa Barbara High School graduate, former Navy serviceman, and pursuing electronics.
