Buellton dump site plans reviewed by county planners
The County Planning Commission continued to May 7 consideration of Carl Vogel's request to determine if the Buellton dump site conflicts with the general plan. The proposed Santa Ynez Valley county dump would be west of Highway 101, about one mile north of Buellton, while officials seek alternative sites with Buellton Business Association and valley groups. The county lease on the Solvang dump expires in May. A private investigator's home occupation at 1274 Navajo Place Orcutt was approved. Public hearings on agricultural preserves for Santa Ynez Valley were continued to April 30 due to counsel unavailability.
