Laid To Rest In Two Funeral Services This Sunday

Samuel Tilden Howe and Adam Walk Sr. were laid to rest in separate services. Howe was buried at Machpelah Cemetery after funeral at the Presbyterian church with pallbearers C L Glasscock G C Marquis Thomas A Waller SN Wilton J G Crenshaw and James Kinkead. Masons conducted the interment. Walk Sr. had services at the Baptist church with Rev Mansfield, then burial with Masons and Odd Fellows leading the procession. six pallbearers are named. The obsequies drew many friends and flowers. sermons praised both men. An advertisement extols Ballard’s Herbine for the liver.

Court case over road opening in Join Kueck suit

Judge Chiles appointed guardian ad litem for Barnard Kieck as the court heard most of the Join Kueck versus Mary Kueck et al case. The result favored the plaintiff largely but included a compromise. A new trial motion in Huffman versus Truston was overruled, with the descendant excepting. Mrs Kennedy and Mrs Rogers returned to Kansas City after visiting here. Mr Heathman and family and Miss Dawson came back from Liberty after several weeks away.
