The Lexington school board burned 43700 in bonds and coupons from the 1901 issue used to enlarge the building. Two bonds from that issue were held by Commercial Bank and 1400 in coupons by the bank, with 300 in coupons from W BR Compton Bond and Mortgage Co of Macon. Treasurer Geo P. A College Boy at New Grand Delights City Audience
An unusually competent company led by Ralph Riggs presented the three act musical comedy A College Boy at the New Grand on Wednesday night to a very good house. The company, which staged the work here last year, drew a large crowd and did not disappoint. Ralph Riggs as Freddie and Mr. Broderick shone in well cast roles. The musical numbers were fresh and catchy, except for the repeated frayed tune I'm Married Now. Mr. Fuges and Miss Witchle delivered particularly fine dancing.
