Draft adds to coachs headaches as youths face draft
The new draft law will pull 19 to 25 year olds from college rosters, reducing athletic talent by fall 1949. At Kansas State University 14 of 68 football players could be drafted, with 21 month service and exemptions for WWI veterans, married men, and national guards.

Swim Pool Opens for KSU Students and Faculty
The university pool is open to all students with aquatic inclinations from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday Thursday and Friday and 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday. Faculty and families may swim Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9. Students must obtain a health permit from the school dispensary before entry.
