Hygiene clinic to be hosted at university training school
A social hygiene institute presented by the department of health and physical education runs July 5 to 10 in the university training school auditorium. The program covers family life education with personality analyses and sex education, plus seminars and psychology topics. Speakers include Dr. Popenoe and Roy E. Dickerson. Record Set With 3 227 Enrollees At Summer Session
Dr. Charles E. Atkinson announced that 3 227 students enrolled for the university summer session, surpassing pre and postwar records. Veterans dominate enrollment under Public Laws 16 and 346, with 213 and 1597 respectively. The College of Education leads in drawing capacity as many students are teachers taking degrees or refresher courses. The Canton campus added about 400 due to summer closure, and registrar expects ~1500 new fall students, with total fall enrollment near last year’s.

Primrose to Perform Recital Tuesday Evening
William Primrose the Scottish viola virtuoso will give a concert Tuesday at 8 15 p m in the auditorium. Primrose has soloed with major orchestras globally since resigning from the NBC Symphony in 1942 and has appeared with the Philadelphia and Boston orchestras along with an NBC broadcast under Malcolm Sargent.

Open door policy ends Kent State reading workshop
The final session of Kent State University’s second annual Reading workshop will implement an open door policy for area school superintendents and principals.
