A Small Job of Piragy in the Bay of Naples
A New York bound voyage memoir describes a Pelican steamer voyage toward Naples with gold cargo. The crew, mixed in race and temperament, causes concern as a liberty party returns stealthily at night. The narrator fires on approaching men from a yawl, warning the captain and purser as they guard the vessel against possible piracy in the Bay of Naples.
