Saugatuck marina opponents plan town hall meeting
The Saugatuck Dunes Coastal Alliance announces an August 6 town hall at Saugatuck High School library to present an alternative marina design. The group opposes the Cottage Home plan to build 34 to 36 vacation homes on the 300 acre site and argues the project violates local zoning while seeking to protect wetlands and historical resources. An earlier 2018 archaeological study found artifacts from the lost village of Singapore at the site. The North Shore project remains under U.S. Army Corps of Engineers historic properties review.
