Kendall Property Group plans a 175 unit Quarterline Flats near Quarterline Road in the Quarterline Condominiums subdivision. J R Kendall said closing on the property will occur Friday Aug 2 with Village Green to manage the apartments. The plan includes nine buildings with 45 percent one bedrooms 45 percent two bedrooms and 10 percent three bedrooms and a full amenities package. The planning commission approved the project again amid traffic noise and congestion concerns and new neighbors saying the development is too big for the area. A traffic study suggested road changes including turn lanes but no traffic light at 16th and Quarterline. The first building could be complete as early as next summer.

A 21-year-old Hudsonville woman was airlifted after a two vehicle crash in Jamestown Township near Greenly Street and 24th Avenue. She failed to stop at the stop sign and her 2003 Ford Taurus collided with a 2009 GMC Arcadia driven by a 52-year-old Hamilton woman. The Hudsonville driver is in critical condition at Butterworth Hospital. the Hamilton resident was not injured.
