John Coverdale, 82, longtime Iowa Farm Bureau executive and founder of Boys and Girls 4-H work, dies of cancer in Waterloo. Attorney General Lawrence Scalise rules that public schools must provide bus transportation to private school students enrolled in Iowa public school courses under the shared time concept. Students attending classes at both private and public schools may ride public buses when service is provided and to the places it is provided.
