The Internal Revenue Service will require licenses for selling firearms and ammunition starting December 16 1968 under the Gun Control Act. Previously shot gun and .22 caliber ammunition dealers were exempt. The $10 annual license is required for many businesses stocking ammunition and records of sales must be kept.
