Pheasant bag limits cut as hunt opens in Iowa

Iowa conservation commission reduces daily cock pheasant limit to two and possession limit to six for the season running November 13 through January 2. Last year daily limit was three and possession nine. Cap program may survey four southern counties Clarke Lucas Wayne and Decatur for a poverty study cost $25 000 pending federal approval.

Net Farm Income To Be Higher in 1965

Secretary of Agriculture Freeman told the Senate Agriculture Committee that 1965 realized net farm income will top 13.5 billion dollars, the highest since 1953, with prices up about ten percent from a year earlier. Cash receipts in the first half of this year exceed 1964 by about 700 million, and the per farm income is estimated at four thousand dollars versus thirty seven hundred in 1964.
