Funeral Held For Mrs A P Hill In Rutherfordton
Rutherfordton May 5 Funeral services for Mrs A P Hill were held Sunday at 3 pm at First Baptist church with Rev E B Jenkins and Rev J W Whitley officiating. She died suddenly Friday at home near hospital aged 76. Interment followed in Rutherfordton cemetery beside her husband. Survived by children J H Hill Spin dale Furniture Co Spindale W R Hill Rutherfordton Osier Hill Talbotton Ga A L Hill Charlotte Mrs John Flack Chimney Rock Mary Sue and Carrie Hill a brother J M Taylor Rutherfordton R3 and many grandchildren. Mrs Hill had long been a member of Rutherfordton Baptist church.

Several hundred people from a number of states attended the annual Memorial day exercises at Pleasant Grove Methodist church in West End Forest City. Rev W A Barber delivered the morning sermon and Rev J W Hoyle Jr of Rutherfordton spoke in the afternoon. Luncheon was served on the ground at noon.
