Pigeons Freed For Oakland Flight From Eugene

Wells Fargo agent Jh M Donahue released three carrier pigeons at Eugene Sunday morning after receiving them from A McIntyre of Oakland California. The birds circled then headed due south toward their home. McIntyre will notify Donahue of their Oakland arrival time.

Prisoner Taken From Goldson Returns to Wasco County

Deputy Sheriff Harry Bown brought W F Keffer charged with petty larceny to The Dalles. Sheriff F C Sexton of Wasco county arrived, transporting the prisoner back on the 3 o'clock morning train. Keffer previously faced a Walla Walla warrant for horse stealing but was cleared.

Not Landis: Suspect in Indian Territory Freed

Sheriff Stephen Gallier of Coos county learned the man held as M D Landis, the Coos county murderer, was not Landis. Authorities had the wrong man. the suspect was released immediately after the mistake was discovered.
