Final Date June 3 Dock Owners Face DNR Registration Deadline
Owners of private or commercial docks serving more than single family residences must register with the state Department of Natural Resources by June 3 to gain exemption from leasing. Grandfathering may apply to docks built before March 10, 1970 and some post 1970 docks. Non registration risks loss of exemption and lease fees. Single family docks are exempt from registration.
