Sandestin Seeks 100 Percent Sewer Rate Increase
The Florida Public Service Commission will hold an informal meeting at 11 a.m. on May 24 in Sandestin to hear comments from about 500 customers on Sandestin Utility Company Inc. SUCI seeks a 100 percent hike in monthly sewer charges raising the base to 16 dollars for 4000 gallons and 1.20 per extra 1000 gallons. An interim rate is in effect pending PSC decision.
