Transport group presses land use limits for Okaloosa Walton
A regional transportation panel in Okaloosa and Walton counties pushes for detailed land use plans with density caps to guide road and transit funding. Proposals include 20 to 40 housing units per acre in coastal zones, 330 feet of right of way along US 98, a 220 foot corridor for US 331, and studies for new north south routes and a possible Okaloosa Walton Transportation Authority.
