Gahagan Acquitted of Grand Theft
An Okaloosa County jury found Mike Gahagan not guilty of grand theft after three days of testimony. The former Destination Motel manager, 36, was accused of shorting hotel receipts in June and July 1984, with owner John Groning alleging $29,187 expected and only $18,548 deposited. The defense argued Groning miscalculated earnings.
