Comanche Lodge Elects Officers At June Meeting

The Comanche K. P. Lodge held a Thursday night meeting on June 16 and elected officers for the new term. J. H. Burton was chosen C C with E. H. Denny as V C and E W Sullivan as M W, joined by Vasco Lee. Prelate E. Gore, M A L F Stewart, I G J G Wyatt, C G S P Smith, K of R S I C Gage and M of F were named to other posts.

Entertains Tuesday Club Hosts Post-Bridge Prizes

Miss Dudley Hicks entertained the Tuesday club at her home with daisy and zenia decor. Prizes after bridge included a hand painted vase for high score to Mrs. John Chilton, a hot dish mat for guest prize to Mrs. Will Robinson, and a consolation prize to Mrs. Joe Tupin. Refreshments followed for members and guests.

Picnic for Wilson Fielder Sunday School Class

The Wilson Fielder Sunday School class led by Mrs E E Anthony gathered for a picnic at McCharen's Lake near De Leon on Friday evening. Homer Palmer served as president and W C Houss as business manager and treasurer. accompanying were Mrs G W Sessay and Miss Dona Saye. The group, about 25 youths, enjoyed a fine supper then played games swam and boated. Before returning they visited the new bride Mrs Peter McCarroll, formerly a class member.

Wedding of Frank Key and Elizabeth Eanes in Comanche

Frank L. Key of Mineral Wells married Elizabeth Eanes at her parents home in Comanche. The ceremony officiated by Rev. Ben F. Hearn used a simple ring rite with Lohen Grin’s march played. Only close friends attended, with Mrs Annie Gleaton as the out of town guest, and the couple planned a short honeymoon to Mineral Wells.

Honors Visiters Bridge Party Honors Stephenville Guests

Mrs. C. Y. Caver entertained with a Thursday bridge party honoring Miss Eleanor Jones Virginia Kayser and Mrs. Frank Carlton all of Stephenville. High score went to Miss Jesfie Thomas who received a hand painted slipper spoon. Consolation prize went to Mrs. Eleanor Dunlap. Refreshments included punch ice cream and angel food cake for the group of honor guests and attendees listed.

Jewell Cox hosts singing Sunday night for a large crowd and a pleasant time.

Miss Bonnie Bowman and J C Biggs Wed at Comanche Parsonage

Bonnie Bowman and J C Biggs married Saturday at the Methodist Circuit parsonage with Rev J L Ray officiating. They will reside in Dallas after a weekend home visit, both reared near Comanche and alumni of the local high school.
