City church revival details advance as committees finalize plans for the Tabernacle event beginning Sunday July 3. Advertising teams tour nearby towns including Blanket Dublin Gustine and Zephyr with posters and literature while prayer services and nightly meetings are scheduled to seek a great religious awakening.

The Sidney revival begins next Sunday at 11 and 8 daily, led by Rev. J. D. Smoot with Rev. J. L. Ray guiding singing. Barry Brothers promote sweet cream collection for a local dairy push, offering test days July 1, 7 a.m.–10 a.m., at the plant and outlining ice coupon books and ice-box packaging details.
A group from the 4-Square Club led by William Chilton and County Agent Barton of Comanche visits Hico to study the local creamery at the Ice Plant. Doctor Hil ey, Rufus Pinkard, and Fred Johnson of Sidney join the group to interview dairy farmers and gather methods for handling dairy products.
Comanche County expects a bumper peanut crop with 100 percent higher acreage than last year. C P St Clair cites strong import duties and favorable growing conditions as keys to a likely good price despite uncertain fall prices. He notes ideal moisture, no pests, and a shift from cotton to peanuts after boll weevil impact.
A burglar broke into the Wm. Reese Drug Store between 10 30 p m and daybreak last Thursday night. Three gold watches, some cash and other merchandise were stolen. Entry was gained by removing a rear window, with attempts to pry open the lower sash. Narcotics cabinets were ransacked though no other items are confirmed.
Courts rule it illegal to require women to pay a city poll tax. No city tax will be levied on women this year while seer and state taxes remain. The city poll tax rises to one dollar for men only.
Ben G. Holt was chosen by business men at a meeting last Tuesday to serve as night watchman. He formerly guarded the Comanche Oil Refinery and the Blue Gin and has held similar posts in Gorman and Lometa.
