Heirs Seek Divide of Hughes Estate Across States

The Hughes heirs filed a probate agreement to divide the late Howard Hughes estate amid questions of residency and a disputed Mormon will. The plan allocates half to 16 maternal heirs, a quarter to Annette Gano Lummis, and a quarter to three paternal cousins, with Lummis disclaiming most of her share to avoid residency issues. A Nevada trial on the Mormon will is set for January 10.
