Soybean sales drop overseas in 1976 77 season
Agricultural reporters note weaker overseas orders for soybeans as prices stay high and supplies tighten. In the week to May 29, Japan the Soviet Union and Taiwan cut back more than gains posted for the European Community Spain and Africa. Officials say this marks the first weekly decline in the current marketing year and portends slower use through September 30. The department expects carryover stocks to fall toward a two week pipeline.
