Tacomans Charged in Platte River Marijuana Harvest
A Tacoma area couple William Augg 66 and Margaret 41 and their son 18 were arrested with harvesting marijuana along the Platte River. Felony charges are pending for harvesting marijuana with intent to deliver. Four children aged 15 months to 12 years were placed in foster care. Arraignment set for June 17 at Platte County Jail. Authorities credited a landowner tip and noted this as the state’s first major harvest bust this year. Sheriff Don Franzen and Investigator Charles Wangler commented. A separate Thursday case recovered a three wheel recreational vehicle stolen from Jerry Frieze. Investigation continues into juveniles likely involved.
