GOP to respond to President energy program telecast
The GOP plans a $20,000 nationwide TV program featuring Ronald Reagan and other GOP stars to counter President Carter's energy policy. Filmed at coal mines, auto plants, shopping centers, and more, the show argues Carter's plan is a tax program not an energy measure. NBC airs a half hour tonight with eight Republicans endorsing energy conservation but criticizing the gasoline tax, GOP chair Bill Brock moderates. The program, unlike typical party out of power shows, features congressmen interviewing citizens about energy.

Brooklyn man marries before prison sentence
New York judge wed Robert Inesti to his one year old fiancée before sentencing him to three years for burglary. Inesti and his brother Roger had been arrested last January for attempting to steal a color TV set and $1,500 in jewelry from a Brooklyn home. Roger received probation.
