Doubts Jaworski Will Have Free Hand in Probe
State Republican Chairman Anne Batchelder doubts Leon Jaworski will act unbound in the Korean influence buying inquiry. She says Jaworski lacks independence this time, as the House Ethics Committee directs the process, and she favors a true special prosecutor with subpoena power. Rep. John Cavanaugh opposes a special prosecutor while Sen. Edward Zorinsky supports it.
