Signers set for state fair contest names announced
Leigh The Tri County party room hosted Colfax County H pre fair music contest with seven groups entering. Clarkson Junior Homemakers senior group won blue ribbons and will represent large groups at the state fair. Jolly Jills Schuyler senior group won blue and will represent middle groups. Dublin Doers Rogers senior group won purple for small groups and will go to the state fair. Dublin Doers junior group received a purple ribbon but is not eligible for state competition.

Local churches sponsor a Colfax County Fair community Worship on Aug 29 at the brandstand beginning 10 AM. United Church of Christ St John Lutheran and St Paul Lutheran provide liturgy with Pastor Robert Yarner as speaker and organist Mrs Harold Mohnsen to play the antique reed organ.
