Dottie's erratic path prompts hurricane watch along Atlantic coast

The National Hurricane Center issued a hurricane watch from Jacksonville Florida to Hatteras North Carolina as Dottieathed winds near 80 west and 30.4 north moved slowly northward. Nebraskas Weekend Forecast Says Drier Air Arrives

United Press International reports sunny skies and warm weather as high pressure over the east and a weak low over the northern Plains drive drier air into Nebraska. Midday highs reach upper 60s to mid 70s with winds 10 to 20 mph. Highs vary from 89 at North Platte and North Omaha to 9% at Valentine.
