Auto Club distributes safety posters to curb school child deaths
The Automobile Club of Michigan is distributing 2000 posters to parochial and public elementary schools and police chiefs across Michigan to prevent traffic deaths of school children during the 1947 back-to-school drive. After a decade of drops, child traffic fatalities rose in 1946, but safety patrols, teachers, and police aim to reduce accidents again.
