Margery E Goodenow Daniels dies at 18 in 1947
Margery Ellen Goodenow Daniels, born August 10 1929 at the Henry Ott homestead in Hatton township, died September 4 1947 at Clare Hospital aged eighteen years and twenty five days. She married Kenneth Daniels August 28 1946 and they had a daughter Kay Lorraine. Survived by husband, daughter, parents, sister Phyllis brothers Charles and Clifford, grandmothers Mrs. Charles Goodenow and Mrs. Alma Bartholomew, plus many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral at Doherty Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ernest Burk and Rev. Chas Kleinhardt officiating. interment Cherry Grove cemetery. Out-of-town attendees listed. Continued on Page Twelve.

Jeanie Ackerman 9, of Rosebush dies Friday morning in Clare hospital after a tragic first day of school accident that killed her brother Billy. Jeanie, a fifth grade student, died as services were held at Rosebush Methodist Church with burial in Woodstand Cemetery. She was born June 1 1936 in Mt Pleasant and survived by parents Fred and Alice Ackerman and grandparents Himer Bruckart and Jake Ackerman along with many relatives.

Dr. Frank Power of Traverse City with wife and brother Eugene Power of Ann Arbor survived a rough emergency landing near Clare Airport after engine trouble over Farwell.
