Teens Discuss Personal Obstacles at Humprhey Smith Home
Teens Club met Tuesday evening October 15 at the Humphrey Smith home with sixteen present despite illness. Lucille Smith directed a program using a tree of paper apples labeled with personal obstacles. The group discussed each problem and endorsed faith in God and prayer as the solution. A scavenger hunt and Halloween party were planned for October 26 at Clare city park.

Tractor Mishap Injures Vandewarker at Local Dealership
Orval Vandewarker, a local implement dealer, sustained back and rib injuries Monday October 14 when a light pole he was pulling with his tractor broke free. He was knocked about five feet by debris and taken to Community Hospital in Mt Pleasant. The tractor then left the road near Clare, rolled into a ditch, and threw Vandewarker roughly 20 feet.

Three youths held after Clare clothing store raid
