The Clare Chapter held its regular meeting at the American Legion Hall on the first Wednesday in October. Officers were reelected and installation is set for November 3 with a pot luck dinner at City Hall. Selema Leer, Department President, will attend with Mt. Pleasant Chapter.
Cub Pack No 3620 will hold registration for ages 8 through 10 on Monday October 25 at 7 p.m. Reporting location is the basement of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church.
Sue A Davison became the bride of Lynn D Esterline in a double ring ceremony Saturday October 9 at Farwell Methodist Church. The couple will reside in Detroit with Esterline employed at Hudson's and a Ferris State student. Guests came from multiple Michigan towns including Detroit Flint Lansing and Farwell.
City notes list numerous weekend visits and calls across Michigan. Neithercuts in Flint stayed with Cottons near Colonville for parsonage opening. Archambaults, Coberts, and other families traveled to Greensville Alma Grand Rapids Petitions. Scattered birthday celebrations and arm injuries noted. Travel by car covers Sarnia and New York color tour with 2564 miles logged.
Ladies met at Mrs. Loren Nevill with seven members. Mrs. Gearid Hemstreet led due to absence of the chairman. Discussion covered the Christmas workshop and future plans. Lunch was served. Next meeting set for Thursday evening October 28 at Mr. Joe Poet’s home.
