The newly formed committee met in the County Courthouse from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm with members from the County Agricultural Committee Board of Supervisors Home Economics and 4H Councils Mt. Pleasant Chamber of Commerce and two visitors State Representative Russell H Strange Jr. and R C Lott. The group reviewed extension reports and split into four groups to study county agricultural needs and programs. Officers named Franklin Switzer chair Don Woodruff vice chair Don Sandbrook secretary. ABA Fall Conference planned for October 22 with Jack Fuller likely president. About 23 percent of cows nationwide are bred artificially and the share grows each year.
